TSN Kicks Off 2005 CFL Season with Comprehensive CFL Season Preview Show

new season of CFL football with the CFL Season Preview Show on Monday, June 20 at 7 p.m.
ET. TSN's Dave Randorf anchors the special preview from the TSN Studio alongside
analysts Chris Schultz, Matt Dunigan and Jock Climie. The show also features
newly acquired CFL play-by play voice Chris Cuthbert and veteran colour commentator Glen
Suitor live from Montreal's McGill Stadium in preparation for TSN's first CFL telecast on
June 22 at 7 p.m. ET, featuring the Hamilton Tiger-Cats @ Montreal Alouettes.
During the 90-minute preview show, the CFL studio panel
will explore the latest issues surrounding the upcoming season, as well as conduct
interviews with Ottawa Renegades Head Coach Joe Paopao and Edmonton Eskimos quarterback
Ricky Ray. Dunigan, a CFL Hall of Fame pivot, will provide fans with a comprehensive
overview of the state of quarterbacking in the CFL this season. Toronto Argonauts
Head Coach Mike 'Pinball' Clemons will also join the panel to talk about the possibility
of the Argos repeating as Grey Cup champions.
Cuthbert will conduct a one-on-one interview with
Saskatchewan Roughriders kicker Paul McCallum, revisiting the fallout of his missed field
goal in the dying minutes of overtime during last year's Western Final. Suitor will
look ahead to potential impact players (aka Glen's Gladiators) who may surface during the
upcoming season.
Also weighing in on the upcoming season are esteemed
Canadian journalists David Naylor (Globe and Mail) and Eric Francis (Calgary Sun), who
will offer their opinions on various controversial league issues in the segment, 3 Downs.
TSN's CFL Season Preview Show also features reports from
SportsCentre correspondents on the challenges facing each CFL team this season with the
special feature, Three Burning Questions.
Fresh on the heels of the highly successful pre-season tilt
'Touchdown Atlantic' from Halifax, TSN will televise the most comprehensive CFL broadcast
schedule in network history with 53 regular season games this year, 21 of which will be
available in High Definition. TSN will broadcast Wendy's Friday Night Football every
Friday night throughout the regular season, Wendy's CFL Live games during the week and
five doubleheaders. The regular season on TSN kicks off with the season opener
featuring Hamilton @ Montreal on June 22.
